Get to know
Dr. Eryn Huber
Dr. Eryn Huber brings nearly two decades of experience, a record of excellence, and a genuine passion for patient relationships to Thornapple Dental Care.
A Metro Detroit native, Dr. Huber has been in the dental field since 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree and dental hygiene certificate from the University of Detroit Mercy, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and spent three years as a Registered Dental Hygienist before returning to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2016, where she was recognized as a top clinician for overall dental competence, honored for her knowledge and proficiency in general dentistry, and awarded the Excellence in Prosthodontics Award. She also served as vice president of her graduating class throughout all four years of dental school.
Before relocating to Grand Rapids in 2022, Dr. Huber practiced in Metro Detroit for six years, earning recognition as Oakland County's "Top Dentist" in 2019 and appearing in Hour Detroit magazine's Top Dentists list for six consecutive years.
Committed to lifelong learning and clinical excellence, Dr. Huber invests extensive time in advanced continuing education through the Kois Center and The Pankey Institute. Her advanced training focuses on occlusion, cosmetic dentistry, comprehensive treatment planning, and TMJ therapy, allowing her to provide highly personalized care for even the most complex dental concerns.
Dr. Huber offers a full range of general dentistry services and is experienced in treating both children and medically complex patients. She also places dental implants and is certified in Invisalign treatment.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Huber served on the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry Alumni Board from 2021 to 2024 and remains actively involved in organized dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, West Michigan Dental Society, Kent County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of the local Pankey study club.
She chose general dentistry for the relationships it makes possible—with patients and their families over time. Dr. Huber believes oral health and overall health are deeply connected, and that the mouth is often where larger health issues first appear. She is committed to routine oral cancer screenings, preventive care, and early intervention, knowing that attentive dental care can make a meaningful difference in a patient's long-term health and quality of life.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Huber enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children. Her hobbies include cycling, camping, yoga, and working out. She values an active lifestyle and enjoys making memories with her family both at home and in the outdoors.
